About Me: I go by Mia online, and I’ve been roleplaying for about eight-going-on-nine years now. When it comes to roleplaying I only stick to forums (jcink & invisionfree) since they work the best with my offline schedule, and also allow for visual graphics. I work full time, and will be finishing up grad school in the fall, so my hours can be a little weird, and I can’t always get online every day. I watch a lot of Asian dramas and telenovelas, so chances are I’ll be heavily influenced by them time to time.
My Writing Style: I’m a fairly wordy person, and that could be why I take time in between posts. I read replies, then I sit on my own ideas before posting again — unless I’m really inspired. Most of my posts range around 400+ words, and if I really like a character or a plot they’ll be pretty high. I play both males and females, and they vary in ages and personalities. And yes, I do like character applications to give you an idea of what my character is like, what has happened to them, etc. They help me focus and organize, otherwise I feel like I end up with extremely bad written characters.
Plots: I’m pretty open to plots and the like, though I’m not looking for quick and easy, or sappy romance. I like twists and turns with my plots, and I tend to make romance the last factor — so family, friend, and rival plots are fabulous. I can do fluff on occasion, and sometimes my characters and threads can get silly (like with maturity levels or whatever), but not all the time. I believe in character chemistry over something completely planned. Go with the flow, etc. My characters may start out one way, but they almost always evolve over time, so I like plots to change as my characters do. I don’t like planning everything out — I don’t mind talking things out to get a general feel for how we want things to start, but from there I do prefer to let things unfold naturally.
Face Claims: You can peruse the list of faces I tend to use, or don’t mind using [here]. It’ll probably grow as time goes on, but for the most part, they’re the ones I favor.
Ideal Partner: Patience is definitely the main thing I’m looking for. I’m finally at this point where I’ve been doing a couple of posts a week across the three sites I’m on, but I’m not always going to guarantee that — my job has to come first since without it I can’t afford the internet, let alone my apartment. There are simply some days that I’m so worn out I just come home and go straight to bed. But that never means I’m uninterested — I only get two days off per week, so out-of-character chatting would only happen on those days for sure.
Have a decent grasp of grammar and spelling. No one’s perfect, but if you don’t know how to use a comma, we might have issues. I want to be able to read your post without stumbling over grammar usage, as I’ve done that before and it’s just not fun; it disrupts the flow for me. You don’t have to write a novel length post every time, but try and match what I post a bit. Respond to more than just dialogue. I don’t do rapidfire anything, and if you’re consistently going to post half of what I give you, chances are I’ll lose interest and my posts will drop down to the bare minimum. There has to be a give and take, otherwise our plots aren’t going to go anywhere.
Play both males and females if you play multiple characters (and please do, because I love having a million and one characters to trade off on so I don’t get stuck with writer’s block at any given time). Don’t be solely focused on romance, because I really do go for that last unless our characters REALLY hit it off.
If you need time away, or want to drop the roleplay, let me know before vanishing — otherwise you’ll be on my black list for life. I get being busy — I’m pretty darn busy too — but there’s no reason to drop off the planet without a word. Talk to me, let me know you need or want a break — I really don’t bite, and I’m pretty lenient and understanding over things. But only if you tell me.
And yes, please be familiar with invisionfree or jcink, as I’m NOT going to try anything else right now.
Roleplays That I’m Looking For: I’d love if you had some passing interest in Sailor Moon or X-Men, as those are the two sites I run and have tons of ideas for. I’m also on an AU Next Generation Harry Potter site, so that would be a plus, too. All these sites are laid back in terms of activity — you only have to post once a month to remain active. And really, if you’re active and interested in a plot, I find that I’m motivated to respond as quickly as I can with my schedule.
Otherwise, I’m open to private site ideas — but only if we can take time with posts and not be required to keep up with certain activity requirements. As I said, I’m already on three sites, so they’ll have to take precedence over anything else. But a private site isn’t out of the question if it’s laid back and purely for fun, and you don’t mind my writing up a character application still. I’m serious when I say I like them to organize myself for a character.
If we go that route, I’m open to other ideas — I don’t do smut of any kind, so if that’s what you’re looking for you might want to find someone else. I find insinuation to be more powerful than actually writing the actual deed out. I don’t have many things I won’t do other than that, though; I’m pretty open minded so just run an idea by me if you have something you’re looking for.
My preferred genres/fandoms are Sailor Moon, Harry Potter, X-Men, Final Fantasy, AU Game of Thrones, post-apocalyptic, Pretty Little Liars-esque, AU WWII… and there are probably more, so you’ll just have to throw something at me to see if I’d do it. Now, onto my credentials, so to speak. My general word count is between 700-1000 words, but I’ve been known to exceed that in plots that I really like. I’m pretty much comfortable with any plot type, whether romance, friends, enemies, something messed up, or something ordinary, but I [b]hate[/b] those “lovey-dovey” storylines. Hate them. I love all things bloody, gory, violent, sexual, everything along those lines. What’s pretty important to me is finding someone who doesn’t mind roleplaying these kinds of genres and ideas. Hello! I go by Rotti or Rot usually. I live in the US of A on the East Coast. Well I’ve been role playing for eight or so years now at least. It’s probably more. I got my start on some forums a long time ago and just kinda continued. I really enjoy making in depth stories and characters, and more often than not art that circulates around those stories. I don’t work with play bys, I make my character’s faces up since that’s the most fun!
I’m looking for someone who has the time to sit and talk about stories, make characters, and bonus points if you draw. I’m really also looking for a friend, and I do want to talk about things outside of roleplay. I like being able to get to know my partners because it usually leads to more roleplay!
I am a literate roleplayer and can crank off a fair few paragraphs. I can also do shorter things when the time is right, and do everything from slow paced roleplays to rapid fire. I will roleplay on skype and through email. I have never roleplayed on tumblr, but I am willing to give it a try.
I do all OCs. I will not play canon characters. I have never truly done fandom things, but I would be open to attempting some as long as the characters were also OCs in the fandom’s universe. Harry Potter, Skyrim, Narnia, and The Walking Dead to name a few of the things I’m interested in.
I really enjoy werewolves. Like the big nasty beastial uncontrollable kind. I really love historically based role plays. So, I’m going to try and be quick on this and not let it drag on — but, knowing me, this’ll be a whole lot longer than I intend it to. Let’s try and get it over with, yeah? I’m Mocha, or Mo if you’d prefer, and I’m sixteen years old. I know many people aren’t comfortable RPing with “kids” under eighteen, so I’m just going to go ahead and put that out there now. I’ve been roleplaying since I was about ten (originally on Neopets or something like that) and I prefer forum RP. I live in the Australian Western timezone, and I’m a pretty busy person during school weeks, but I’m very dedicated and active on sites that I decide to join.
I tend to get quite wordy when I write, meaning around six to seven hundred words. (I’ve even reached three thousand on a few occasions, when muse was good.) But I also find a guilty pleasure in doing rapidfire (two to three hundred-ish) so, in all honesty, I can go either end of the spectrum. I’ve done plenty of genres and while I love romance plots, it’s certainly not my top priority. My characters can be male or female, and there’s an extensive list of face claims I like to use. Their ages fit between the wide range of sixteen to sixty, and I really am not kidding when I say that.
Do I do fandoms? Yes, kind of — but I’m horrible at playing canons. I’ll give it a go if you really want me to, but I’d rather play my OC against yours (or, alternatively, an OC to your canon). I simply prefer making characters in these universes or basing them around a similar plot. Anyway, the list goes: Assassin’s Creed, Bioshock (Infinite), Breakfast Club, Castle, Community, Criminal Minds, Disney, Eureka, Firefly/Serenity, Fruits Basket, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Harvest Moon, Hunger Games, Inception, James Bond, K-Pop, Lord of the Rings, Mass Effect, Marvel/DC, Narnia, Ouran High School Host Club, Portal, Sherlock, Skyrim, Walking Dead, World of Warcraft, and dozens more I can’t think of off the top of my head.
More often than not, though, I go with original RPs. Really, anything goes. If you’d like, you can invite me to a site you’re already on, or — if we get on well enough — we can even start one together. I’m currently not a part of any community, seeing as I’ve just come back from a pretty long break. What I really like in an RP buddy is someone who loves diving into plots, loves getting into the writing and not stress too much about anything else. Looking for a roleplay
Hello there. My name is Elizabeth. I’m in my early twenties and I’ve been roleplaying since I was twelve. I’m looking for a fellow writer who can indulge me with an imaginative plot, cripplingly real characters and well-written replies. I love to write and I love to build characters and relationships. Plot is extremely important as well, but I believe that roleplay is about character interaction, and if you can give me authentic and well thought out characters, you’re exactly whom I’m looking for.
I can roleplay over any medium that isn’t instant. I don’t like messengers, but anything else is just fine with me. I’m busy (who isn’t?) and I don’t like to feel rushed to reply. Just let me know what else you prefer and I’ll probably be down.
Now, onto the specifics. I love having a variety of characters of different ages, orientations and backgrounds. I can roleplay romance, but only when it organically develops. Not everyone has to get ‘paired up’. I can roleplay any orientation, but I prefer heterosexual relationships. Unless, of course, you can stay away from the contrived top/bottom tropes that usually accompany m/m slash. I’ve never tried f/f, but I’d give it a shot if the opportunity arose. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’ll basically do anything as long as it’s done well.

I don’t do a lot of fan based RPGs as I prefer to stick with original characters and plots. I haven’t played fandom based roleplays for ages and I’m really not a big fan of playing a canon based character, but lately I’ve come a lot into the supernatural fandom and I’m really shipping any pairing from that show. I’m totally fine with doing an original character in a canon based universe.
When it comes to original plot genres I prefer sci-fi, angels/demons, horror, supernatural, post-apoc, historical (based around 1930), war and m-slash. I’m mostly interested in finding someone who’re willing to write m-slash/supernatural/demons&angels and I’m really open to any ideas you’re willing to throw at me. If you don’t like doing m-slash I’m totally okay with any other epic plot-lines you might have in mind.
How much I write really depends on my partner; if you don’t write a lot, don’t expect me to write you 1000+ words back. I hate blabbering post containing more thoughts and unrelated stuff than actual roleplay actions, but don’t get me wrong; thoughts and feelings are fine as long as you don’t use it to fill up your post. I can write a lot and I tend to do so if I’m really in the mood for writing, but if you prefer to do rapid fire posts I enjoy that a lot as well.
I prefer using playbacks/faceclaims as I am not a huge fan of using drawings for my characters. Other than that, I can play both male and female though I prefer to do male characters. Doing m-slash I can play as both sub and domi, I really don’t mind. I prefer plots to be realistic and I hate forced romance and characters falling in love within 30 mins after meeting for the first time.

seeking a partner or two
- i go by mia online, and i’ve been roleplaying for around eight years now? ugh, i’ve sort of lost count, but it’s been awhile. i consider myself a fairly friendly person, though it does take me awhile to open up — i’m an introvert, i work full time and don’t get enough sleep, and i’m trying to finish grad school this century (school and work don’t mix, fyi). that being said, i’m not online all the time and can’t guarantee daily or weekly posts. i know, i know, that’s totally off-putting, but i’d like to think there are others like me out there — people that love roleplaying but are also balancing real life.
- i’m wordy. i’ll apologize for that upfront. i average around 500-600 words, which is around four paragraphs depending on the character and how i break up those paragraphs. i babble, and sometimes i think the babble is worth reading. i’d essentially like someone that doesn’t mind lengthy posts and can possibly keep up — no one liners for sure, sorry. also, i only roleplay on forums. invisionfree and jcink are kind of preferred since the loading time is faster than proboards, and because it’s been forever since i’ve been on a proboards site — i don’t know that i want to spend three days relearning all the functions.
- i mentioned i was slow in replying, right? it’s not on purpose; i tend to open a bunch of tabs and start posts, but it takes me a few days to really punch them out. unless i’m really inspired to type something up straight away, i do tend to take a little time to read a reply and then think up what i want to reply back with. i’m also balancing being the admin on two sites and moderating on a third, so unless you’re on the site with me, anything else will come after those three. that being said, i’m perfectly okay with doing a private site if need be, but no messenger or email or anything else. a forum is easier for me to sit on a reply when i’m working on them.
- i play both males and females, and my characters tend to range in ages from 15-45. personalities vary as well, so you can expect almost anything from me — i love plotting, love a little drama to keep things rolling, and i believe in character chemistry more than i do finals. i like romance as much as the next person, but i like developing my characters more, so plots that go along with family relationships, friendships, rivalries, and so on are more my preference. unless there’s major character chemistry, in which case i’ll go with the flow. no smut, sorry. i like fading to black because i figure imagining what happened, or talking about it after the fact is more fun than having to figure out what to say without sounding like a really bad romance novel. and no, i’m not interested in trying it right now.
- i’m more of a fandom roleplayer than anything else, though i’ve dabbled in a variety of genres before. my preferences: sailor moon, x-men, harry potter, final fantasy, game of thrones (modern day adaptions), fairy tales… i’m sure there are more, but i think these are the ones i’m more likely to work with at this time. you can always ask me what else i’m into, or check out my tumblr since it’s a messy intro to the million and one things i like. other genres i can do: post-apocalyptic, secrets (think pretty little liars-esque), au history…
- depending on the fandom or genre, i can be a little picky about characters i play. the major ones i feel like i know inside and out in my headcanon are sailor mars, nephrite or kunzite (depending on the plot), pyro, rogue, polaris (but seriously, i think i’ve played a large variety of x-men characters), marlene mckinnon, amycus carrow, megan jones, draco malfoy, victoire weasley, tifa lockhart, reno, arya stark…and this would be a list of faces i use or like to see used in plots i’m in (here).
- i’m looking for someone, or a few someones, that are okay with my posting about once a month for sure, though with summer here and my taking a much needed break from school, i’m hoping to be able to do up posts across all my sites (public or private ones) every week. i’m more than happy to be patient for you, because seriously, roleplaying is a hobby to do in our spare time for fun. real life will always come first — just, you know, let me know if you’re going to be away or unable to post. if i don’t hear from you after a month or two, chances are i’ll lose interest altogether. and be annoyed at you. communication isn’t that hard, and i’d appreciate a heads up so i’m not left hanging.
- be able to write both males and females. i like knowing i’m not the only one writing up all the males on a site or in a plot. be semi-versed with invisionfree or jcink, or willing to learn. i have aim, and i can probably be on it for a day to help you learn — but i’m not sure i’m very good at explaining things.
- it would be great if you were willing to join up and take some characters for me on one of the three sites i’m on (sailor moon, x-men, next generation harry potter), but again, i’m open to a private site deal — like a place where i’m not required to worry about posting x-amount of times a week. unless you’re on a site that’s laid back and only requires a post a month, because that’s what i’m doing right now, and it works better for me with my schedule.
